2024, Ants & Letter-shaped pasta

Feedings is a series of observations that capture the ants’ relationship to food and the artist’s relationship to language. After being given a pile of randomly selected letter-shaped pasta, the ants were documented moving the food back to their hills. As they moved, the ants spelled words. Instinct is interpreted as intention when the artist recognizes and personifies the order chosen by the ants.
